Embrace Life

Since I was MIA from my blog last year I wanted to share a painting I created for my dear sister-in-law last November for her b-day. I still can't believe I only created 5 blog posts total...how sad. I'm making up for it now, two posts in one week. Yippeee! You GO girl! Hopefully, I'll keep it up! The title of this post as well as the title of the painting is what I'll continue to do this year. I hope you will too!

Size: 11" x 14" on stretched canvas
Created using acrylic paint, stamps & collage papers

I hand stitched fabric flowers and beads directly onto canvas.

I stamped on a strip of canvas and attached it using tiny brads.

Thanks so much for coming to visit!

Creative Blessings,
Lisa :)

happiness and a lot of creativity, and with a little luck you could be the winner

Great to see your artwork again.
Embrace life is a great motto

  2. Lisa, I love this! It actually took my breath away when I first saw it. LOL, I'm with you on the blogging - I don't even know if I had five posts over 2011 and like you am making up for it this year. Wow...are we awesome or what! LOL

  3. Welcome back to blogland!

The mood you have created here reminds me of Miss Havisham in Great Expectations. We just watched a wonderful new adaptation on the BBC with Gillian Anderson as Miss H.

Miss H did not embrace life...

  6. Oh Lisa, it's just gorgeous!!! My word for this year is going to be "create" I do believe. There are many different mediums I'm wanting to try, some on gourds and some not. I would love to learn to draw faces like you do but I also want to dig deep into watercolor painting and also into mixed media. And just CREATE! Your pieces are all so wonderful and it's always nice coming to visit your blog.

  11. I am sure your sister-in-law adores her painting. You are one talented gal. I would love to learn to paint faces...with real noses. LOL Maybe someday I will learn.

Glad to see you posting again. I have been somewhat MIA with creating. Being in college sure takes up a lot of time.

Have a great week! And Happy New Year!
    Cheers,
    Tonya
