Guardian Angel

I really believe there is a guardian angel looking out for me at all times. Guiding me with love and inspiration so I may follow the path I have been given in this world. Helping me through ups and downs in everyday life. Always encouraging me to pour out creations from my heart & soul.

This is a 12" X 24" mixed media painting on stretched canvas.

Flower Pincushion

I've always enjoyed creating hand-stitched pieces like altered art dolls, pillows, fabric brooches, mini crazy quilts, and especially ACEO's (Art Cards Editions, & Originals). This however, is the first pincushion I've ever created. It measures 5" X 5" in width & 3.5" in height. This two tier pincushion was made with multiple colors of wool felt. Stuffed firmly with a generous amount of poly-fil. The center of the pincushion has a flower applique, a crocheted flower, a gem flower brad, and has a surrounding of tiny seed beads. Also included in this piece is a lady bug brooch that I stitched up using felts, beads, & a pin back. It measures 1.5" X 1.25". Besides the three pins that I have on the the pincushion, I've also created a cute flower pin that is identical on both sides with a button center. I finished it all off with decorative fiber trims & a blanket stitch.

I was inpired & asked to create a pincushion by my creative friend Paulette (aka beedeebabee on ebay). She is a wonderful artist who recently also started making pincushions full of sweet embroidery & imagination. Be sure to check out her cute quilted creations on the following link.

Muse

My Muse inspired me to create this sweet little angel. A 6" X 6" primitive canvas piece full of texture. Very different compared to my normal beeswax effect. I used softer colors than usual. I also sanded & distressed the piece for a more aged appearance.

Goddess of Love

With Greek Mythology on my mind, I decided to create this Goddess of Love painting. It is an 8" X 10" canvas piece I painted using ink, pastels, metallic & acrylic paints. I really enjoyed making this piece, so there will be more Goddess paintings to come for sure. :)

A Moment of Spring

This is a 16" X 20" original canvas painting. I created this mother & daughter duo taking a nightly stroll down the lane. Admiring a blossoming tree can delay almost anyone in their tracks. I used ink, pastels, metallic & acrylic paints.

Spell to Life's Happiness

This is an 8" X 10" canvas painting I created of a Good Witch and her spell to life's happiness. I originally wrote this spell a couple of years ago for another altered art piece which included a vintage image of a little girl & her cat. I altered the image and made her a little witch instead. From there, the spell was born. I just had to incorporate the spell into this piece. I make sure to always note that this spell written by me is for enjoyment purposes only. I hope that your life's happiness is soon to be met.

Spell to Life's Happiness
Troubles be gone,
Worries move on,
Receive my call,
To all good witches,
Mend my troubles,
With your charmed stitches,
Blessed be thee,
Remove strife and stress,
Heed my call now,
For my life's happiness!

Altered Art Quilts

I created these altered art quilts using prints of my original paintings. Printed directly onto fabric & then cut to size. Adding hand-stitched embroidery and embellishments to finish it up. Full of beads, appliques, charms, brads, buttons, decorative hangers, & fiber trims. These art quilts are 2.5" X 3.5" ACEO (Art Cards, Editions & Originals) size.
