  24. Hi Lisa - I seriously cannot stop looking at this painting - it is SO beautiful!

I also meant to ask you...whereabouts in the SF Bay Area are you? My husband and I moved from Foster City out here to Maui in 2006.

Hope you had a wonderful weekend!

  25. Hi Lisa,

Ivy is actually my grandma, or was, she is no longer with us, or is she, i often wonder. Did you get to look at the new blog site, Ivys attic?

  26. Thankyou for taking the time to comment on my WIP. I hope I can do it justice! I love the effect you have with your papers underneath the paint How do you do that? After you glue the papers down, can you just paint on top or do you have to go over it with a medium or fixative first? I was thinking of putting papers down on my WIP, but realized Ive already done the sketch so proly not a good idea!

  29. Thanks so so so much everyone for all your sweet comments! I really appreciate the love.

Hope all your questions were answered to your liking on your blogs. Feel free to ask away anytime. Just to fill everyone in when it comes to my art:

Flor- I hope to make ACEO prints too. Still working on the Etsy update. Thanks for asking!

Kaili- Great questions! I love your WIP. I know she is going to be even more breathtaking. Can't wait to see her finished. Adding papers is a lovely idea. If you haven't done it before, I suggest practicing on another canvas first. After looking at your gorgeous WIP, I wouldn't want you to add it if your not sure how it would look.

For my collage painting, after adhering the papers to the canvas with gel medium, I added a layer of gesso to seal the deal. The amount of layers is up to your taste. I sometimes go more than just a couple to get a nice texture. It's up to you. Have fun and thanks again for your sweet message.

    Creative Blessings,
    Lisa :)
