Halloween Queen

This is the swap I gave to the leader of my AHQU (Artistic Halloween Queens Unite) group. I thought that since Linda aka GourdQueen is the Queen mama as we call her, a painting such as this would be a perfect fit. A Halloween Queen sitting on her regal throne.

8" X 10" on stretched canvas

A sparkle of gold glitter on her cascading dress.

The rich crackle and 3D paints continue on all sides.

A skull jingle bell dangles from the bottom of the canvas.

Created using glitter, a crackle treatment, metallic, acrylic, & 3D paints.

A Jolly Halloween

This is the gift I received from my swap buddy for AHQU (Artistic Halloween Queens Unite) group on ebay. I was very honored to receive such a cutie pie treat from Carol aka grandmamoses2001 on ebay.

8" X 14" on wood board

Be sure to check out more of her vintage Halloween goodies at grandmamoses2001.

Thanks again so much Carol! I love it!

Beedeebabee

Beedeebabee aka Paulette is a kindred spirit that I met on ebay. Our common interests in the Victorian era, crazy quilting, embellishing, stitching, romantic period novels, & movies etc... brought us together. Paulette is an extraordinary artist! She puts more than 100% in all her creations.

This was a sweet gift I received from her. A detachable handmade and hand-painted angel floats above a beautiful hand-stitched pincushion.

She hand-embroidered and embellished every little stitch, sequins, & bead you see.

Every little detail is lovely! Even the angels wings, dress, pants, & shoes have delicate embroidery and dazzle.

A whimsical beaded halo sits atop her head & gorgeously hand-painted face.

As a surprise, Paulette even stitched me up a tiny personalized heart tag! She's such a *S*W*E*E*T*H*E*A*R*T*!!!

The Kindred Spirit paintings I wrote about in my previous post are in her home now. Here they hang together in her work area.

She even added butterfly stickers to flutter around the Anne & Diana paintings.

Here are a couple of examples of her beautiful crazy quilts. Amazing creations and oh so Cute, Cute, Cute!!!

She has yet to create a blog (hint, hint),
but you can check out more goodies from
Paulette at Beedeebabee's Etsy Shop and also Beedeebabee on ebay.

Thanks for sharing your world with me Paulette! You always inspire me!

Love,

Lisa :)

Kindred Spirit Award

In my blog post for the month of May, I created & shared my depiction of the original kindred spirit girls from the novel series "Anne of Green Gables" by L.M. Montgomery. I loved reading the books and fell in love with the story even more when I watched the movies based on the novels. The two kindred spirits I painted were of course Anne Shirley & Diana Barry. I just had to!

A fellow kindred spirit asked me if she could show my paintings on her blog as well as create something from this inspiration. I thought it was a lovely idea and was so happy that someone else out there in blogland loved the story of Anne as much as I did.

This fellow kindred spirit is Mere of The Victorian Lady. A talented artist with a magical imagination! She ended up creating this lovely award for all the kindred spirits out there. I am very honored to receive it and feel so very special that she created this from an inspiration she felt when she saw my Anne & Diana paintings.

Thanks so so so much Mere! You truly are a kindred spirit of mine! A big raspberry cordial *C*H*E*E*R*S* to you!

Big *H*U*G*S*,

Lisa

Halloween Harvest

For my Halloween Harvest PWGL challenge on ebay I created two pumpkins out of paperclay. This was my first attempt at paperclay and it was quite fun. Completely hand-sculpted and painted with acrylics.
