Halloween Cottage Pincushion

Halloween...in April? Yes, that right. For those of you
that may not know, I love everything about Halloween
and I enjoy creating spooktacular treats all year round.


I decided to create a Halloween Cottage Pincushion
for my first listing at the Halloween Queens Castle Bootique.


It's been awhile since I created a pincushion
and I had so much fun stitching it up.


Of course, embellishing is always my favorite part.

Creating at night

I can be such a night owl at times. There is something about
creating when everyone in my world is fast asleep. I think it
might be due to the possibility that I should have been born
in another time zone. Who knows? In general, I tend to have
more energy/inspiration at this time, where my imagination has
a mind of its own. So what does one do when they have that
creative urge...

This time I decided to paint. I found some chipboards that have
been laying about for quite some time. I think I only used them
twice since I bought them last year. So I decided to punch some
holes, grab a few binder rings and just have fun.

This is my work in progress so far. It's definitely not going to be
a one nighter project, so we'll have to see how it goes.

Of course, inspiration can hit me anytime of the
day, but the night for me brings so much more
to the imagination. When do you enjoy creating
the most? I'd love to know.

Art Journal Entry

I try my best to create in my art journal whenever I can, but time
usually is a big factor on that one. Last night though, I was able
to finally open some pages and have fun.

Sometimes I get inspired with a certain word, a quote,
a song and even a dream. And many times it may all
just depend on how I'm feeling at the moment.

So, what was I thinking when I created this? I'll leave it
up to your imagination.
