My creative path so far has been filled with many inspiring
forks in the road. It can be very difficult to maintain
a goal when you're not sure where you are heading. Of course,
that's what makes art more exciting for me!
The one thing that has been consistent on this road is the
support and inspiration I feel in this crafty community. I am
very grateful for all the artistic souls I have met here in
cyberspace. If you are like me, you look forward to what the
new year will bring in your creative adventures. And you also
believe in your heart that this unknown direction will only
make you stronger. You are not alone. It's been a blessing to
share this creative path with you.
Our Journey Begins Here...

this page is absolutely stunning Lisa, just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLovely, especially the faces you create. Love the soft colors in the journal.
ReplyDeleteHey Lisa, that is a beautiful piece and i totally agree with what you say. My artistic journey took an unexpected turn this time last year and boy have there been some unexpected forks in the road, like you i am unsure with where i should go so my word for the year amongst one or two others is SIMPLIFY. I only have one pair of hands and think i try and spread myself too thinley on occasions but i love all that i do :)
ReplyDeleteI hope that your journey will continue to lead you towards many more creative adventures. And I agree that exploring the unknown can make us stronger and more confident.
ReplyDeleteShe si soooo nice. Love your faces, they look so soft.
ReplyDeleteyou have such a beautiful ethereal style - love it :D
ReplyDeleteMy sentiments exactly, Lisa. The artist community is very supportive. Some days you struggle, other days are light-hearted and it is always a pleasure to see that someone has checked in on you! Have a beautiful week!
ReplyDeleteWhat lucky ladies to have won the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI have a question. I love how you did that create letters for your friend and joined them together, is it called a banner. Anyway I wondered if you would do and how much you would charge to do one for my granddaughter Josephine but it would be strung together just with the letters of her name. So that is 9 letters.

Lisa, such a lovely post! I totally understand where youre coming from. The new year makes me want to start fresh, try different things when it comes to my artwork. I feel a little bit lost but at the same time I am also excited about the prospects.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this post and your wonderful painting too :-)
Hello Creative Cuties! Thanks so much for all your touching comments! It means more than you know. :)
ReplyDeleteRenee- I'd be happy to create a customized banner for you and your granddaughter. Please email me or convo me through etsy for more details. Thanks!
Love this journal page! The eyes on your ladies are always so beautiful! I feel a little like you at the moment, excited about what the year will bring creatively but not sure where I'm going with my art at all. But I'm thankful that I am where I am as a year ago I wasn't blogging and hadn't dreamed that I would be so serious about my art as I am now. That's all thanks to the blogging community. I feel like meeting artists like yourself has been better than any class I could have done :0)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and evocative. I am certainly looking forward to seeing more of your gorgeous creations this year and to what the year has in store for me creatively speaking. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThat beautiful message Lisa.. really the times I feel a little lost.. the times we are bombed of inspiration and for me and difficult to stay centered.. but it is also delicious that feeling of freedom that the artistic work gives me.
ReplyDeletethank you for sharing your creative adventure.
God blesses you.!

Beautiful! I agree that it has been so wonderful to find inspiration in the cyberworld. I'm not an artist, but I love beautiful things. So it is encouraging to meet new friends that fuel creativity.
ReplyDeleteShe is sooo wonderful, Lisa, I love the peaceful, dreamy look in her eyes! You can really see her heart and feel her warmth.
ReplyDeleteLots of love, Sanda xx
Hi Sweetie!
ReplyDeleteYou inspire us all with your beautiful artwork Lisa. This page is just gorgeous. She's sooo sweet, and she has the most perfect lips ever, with just a teeny hint of a smile! ;) Your girlies are all so beautiful! I know your creative path is going in the right direction!!! ;)
Kindred Hugs,

Gorgeous Angel! Such a beautiful face. There will always be creative souls. I think the art world just keeps getting bigger and bigger, especially through cyberspace. Also, thanks for the lovely comment on my blog. ^_^

Wow the journal entry is wonderful! Hey-I wanted to tell you that I was having a really miserable day today. I went to work with a bad cold and sore throat after a night of "covers on--covers off"---and no sleep(those of you around 50 years old or older understand where I'm coming from)! Then I came home to find a package from you! My Give Away prize!! It is even more beautiful in person. I love it so much and the wonderful print too. Thank you so very much--it certainly brightened my day--now I'm gonna get my PJ's on and watch American Idol and look at my prize some more--the detail is AMAZING!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful and serene page. When I started blogging last year I never for one moment thought I would end up 'meeting' so many lovely people, or that it would respark my creativity in quite the way it has! I have a lot to thank blogging for and clearly I'm not the only one. I love visiting sites like yours and soaking up all those beautiful illustrations - it makes me just want to go out and create!!
ReplyDeleteHi, Lisa! Gorgeous, beautiful angel! Love the colors in this piece! :-)
ReplyDeleteLisa, I love your artwork! You are a wonderful artist, I am so happy to have found you through OWOH. Hugs, antonella :-)
ReplyDeleteLisa; This is so beautiful. I am glad to have found your site.
