Over a year ago now, I was bitten by the Twilight Saga. I had read the books only after watching "Twilight" in the theater. I became instantly captured by the love story written by Stephenie Meyer.

I absolutely fell in love with Edward and Bella's story. The hubby surely knew this as well and he surprised me with a couple of the audiobooks last Christmas. Listening to the books this way made their story even more special for me. I sketched Edward on canvas around the same time last year and decided to paint him up just last night in honor of the movie "New Moon" coming out today. I made sure to paint him while I listened to "New Moon" on audiobook to help inspire me even more. You can tell from the photo above that I initially had other plans for how his hair should be.

As for now, Edward is still a work in progress. I also still plan to paint Bella as soon as possible too. You can tell from the photo below that Edward yearns for Bella to complete him as well.

Have a wonderful weekend! :)
Really AMAZING Lisa!!! My Twilight story is the same as yours... saw the first movie, then read the books. Saw New Moon last night at midnight! LOVE IT! I am now team Jacob though! I also have a twilight charm bracelet posted on my blog from a swap I was just in!

Love the Edward painting! My daughters just went to see the New Moon movie this evening. They are 20 and 21 years old and they were giggling like pre-teens in anticipation. ha ha
ReplyDeleteWow, that is great work. I just saw him on Ellen's show. I don't know much about the series but lately I've been hearing lots about it. Great work, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely painting!! I LOVE how you've captured his eyes!! It's funny how so many people are caught up in the Twilight frenzy all over the world at the moment. I saw New Moon the other night and quite enjoyed it. Looking forward to seeing your Bella and hopefully you'll do a Jacob too? :0)
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous eyes, so dreamy!
ReplyDeleteTo be inspired while listening to the tape, very inspiring!
Thank you Lisa for your lovely and caring message for Abi.

Beautiful Lisa! I too was bitten - I've read the Saga and watched Twilight (twice) but haven't seen New Moon yet. Looking forward to the painting of Bella. Wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving!
