Sew Busy

Here are the pillow quilt ornies I've been working on since being away from blogland. Completely handstitched and created using altered prints of my original paintings. Embellished with fabrics, felts, sequins, beads, ribbons, jingle bells, & jute hangers. Stuffed with polyfil and finished off with a blanket-stitch trimmed with yarn. Sizes range from 3.5" in diameter to the largest at 5" in diameter.

Ta da! I love to stitch, as you may already know. It's such a relaxing thing for me to do. I'm currently working on some other stitching projects as well as some new paintings. Keep watch!

I hope to list a couple of these ornies for sale this week.

Creative Blessings,
Lisa :)

  9. UMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM WOWOWOWOWOOWWOOWOWOWOW I am blown away. Not to tute my horn but I like to think I can adapt to most art form but that is one road I couldn't go down. AMAZING and amazing! Speakless, very seldom, but I know the care and time that must have went into something to ornate and I for one appreciate it!

  17. Neato! So, what/how did you get your artwork/designs on to the ornaments? What I mean is how did you print them on fabric? Please share.

Good luck on your Etsy shop too! Wow, you really have been busy!

  18. Hi Leslie! Thanks so much for your interest in my art!

I don't mind sharing at all. I printed the images on my home printer directly onto fabric paper. Cut and sized to fit, adding more fabric & felt on some, embellished, and then stitched away!

Also, Thanks for your sweet comment!

    Hugs,
    Lisa :)

  20. What a wonderful idea for your illustrations. I worked craft fairs the last year and a half with little crafty things with my illustrations on them but your idea is so beautiful and elegant that I'm sure they'll sell in an instant. Great work! I'm so glad I stumbled on your blog via a series of connections from my blog followers! Good luck.
