Imagine Inspire Dream
Here is my art journal page for today. Imagine Inspire Dream...words to live by for sure. I haven't been journaling as much as I would like to. This sweet girlie was created using a pen, watercolor pencils, white acrylic paint, & stamps.
Thank you Anne of http://gaalcreative.blogspot.com/ for creating & passing "The Circle of Friends" Award! I was very honored to receive it again from Michelle of http://thesillystamper.blogspot.com/. Thank you both so much!
Thank you Marbella of http://marbelladesigns.blogspot.com/ for passing on the "J'Adore tien Blog" Award!
Thank you Jo of http://pistudio.blogspot.com/ for passing on the "International Bloggers Community" badge!
Jenny Carter of http://allycat-rescue.blogspot.com/ is having her first blog giveaway! She's giving away an adorable Gritty Jane style doll she created. You don't want to miss out on this!
Please check out all these lovely sites when you get a chance. Have a wonderful weekend!

Sew Inspired
It's been awhile since I've done any stitching. I forgot how relaxing it could be. It still is my overall favorite crafty treat to make. Here are two altered art quilts I created using fabric prints of my original paintings. They are both completely hand stitched.
The first quiltie is a bookmark (SOLD) I created in a crazy quilt style. It measures 2.25" X 6" (Not including decorative yarn). I used multiple fabrics, felt, crocheted flowers and sequins.
The second quiltie is an ACEO (Art Cards, Editions & Originals). For those of you that don't know, I began sharing my art in 2005 on ebay in ACEO format. The ACEO size is 2.5" X 3.5".
This mini art quilt was created using burlap, felt, sequins & beads.
You can find more info on this ACEO quiltie up for auction now on ebay.
Happy Tuesday to you all!

Many Thanks!!!
I recently won a sweet giveaway from Anne of http://gaalcreative.blogspot.com/. My prize was a handmade card featuring a print of her original photo called "Heart Clouds". It's such a great shot. She is not only a wonderful photographer & mixed media artist, she also creates the most inspiring cards. Thanks again Anne!
Thank you Jennifer of http://www.blueskysunburn.com/ for passing on the "One Lovely Blog Award". I enjoy visiting Jennifer's blog. Her art is fantastic and her insight on pop culture is always a great read.
Thank you Darla of http://artisticaccentsbydarla.blogspot.com/ for passing on the "Meme Award". Darla is a fabulous mixed media artist! Her painted girlies are beautiful treasures.
Please check out all their terrific blogs when you get a chance!
I also wanted to say that I really appreciate all the love and support from my last post. Your encouraging words and thoughtful spirits are a real blessing. Thanks so much!!! Wishing everyone a happy Sunday!

ComMission Completed
This commission piece was only one of the many things that were keeping me a busy bee. Besides everyday life, I've been working on more goodies I will be sharing soon. This painting is actually the largest piece I have ever done. Including the wooden frame I added to the canvas, it measures 25" X 37" X 2.5" deep. I really enjoyed working on a bigger scale. Now that I've tried it, I'm hooked.
I also got the chance to use this lovely decorative easel
my sister-in-law gave me for my birthday. Thanks again Tra! I love it!
This was created using oil pastels, acrylic, metallic & 3D paints.
Textured and sanded for a distressed appearance.
Her halo & wings shimmer with acrylic paints and a dust of glitter.
Touchable texture all around.
Who can stop themselves from feeling the textures
of a finished painting?
Not me. :)
Until next time... Thanks again for your continued support in my art!
