She will move mountains

Hello everyone! Here is my latest angel painting. It's a mixed media piece I created on a 16" x 20" stretched canvas. I started out with painting the mountains first. They were just plain white mountains calling out to me. I didn't know which direction I was heading for until I added the angel and knew what she was looking at.

Sometimes you just need the pull of inspiration to come from somewhere. And that is what my angel did for me. Regardless which direction life takes her, she will move mountains.

Creative Blessings! :)

Faith

Hello everyone! Here is my latest angel painting. You can find her in my shop
She was created on a 6" X 6" stretched canvas.

My work in progress photo shows a few shots of how I painted her up and it also shows
what I stamped and stitched together. The banner was created using canvas and felt.

For those kindred souls...

Have faith & believe in yourself.

Stuck in the Clouds

Here's the finished angel painting from the WIP I shared from this post here. More often than not, I find my head stuck in the clouds. Reality checks are always needed for this mixed media artist!

Creative daydreamers like me drift off using our imaginations without even realizing it. At least for me this is how it can be. Jumping from project to project creating goodies that sometimes can give you less focus on other matters at hand. Hey, I admit I need reminding to watch the new season of GLEE too! And having the people you love to help ground you with shows... along with many more important matters are always a plus. :)

You can find this new angel painting now in my shop!

Blessings to you,
Lisa :)

Here is my latest angel painting. I really enjoyed creating her. Getting lost in ones thoughts happens to us all. When I do, I find myself sitting similar to this angel.

Size: 16" X 20"

Just Breathe

Every now and then, especially when life tends to overwhelm me, I have to remind myself to close my eyes and... just breathe.

Everything will work out itself in the end.
At least that's what Mrs. Positive Thinking encourages for me. I know I'm not the only one out there who sometimes forgets. Hopefully, this angel painting will remind you.

(Original painting sold, thanks!)

Have a beautiful weekend and don't forget to just breathe!

Hugs,
Lisa :)

Becoming

I can't imagine what my life would be like if I didn't create.
If I stay away too long from making something, I tend to get withdrawals. Not sure if that's only me. Do you ever get that way?

My artistic journey so far has been filled with meeting so many amazing artists out here in blogland. The on-going support and love you have all given me has been more than I could ask for. I really appreciate it. Thank you all so so so much!

The weather here has been nice and chilly. Just the way I like it. It has even inspired me to get back to my love of stitching. Hopefully, I can share it all with you soon. The difficult thing about having more than one artistic passion is that I get side tracked very easily.

I could be happily stitching away, but when a sketch is calling out for
me to paint her... well, you can guess the answer to that.

For more info on this angel painting, you can find her now on ebay.
(sold, thanks!)

Thank you for your sweet visit! :)

Primitive Angel

Hello lovely bloggers! Here is my latest painting.

distressed for a primitive appearance.

Hope you guys like her! She is up for bid now on ebay. (sold, thanks!)

Thanks for coming to visit! Wishing you all a beautiful weekend! :)

Scarlett

It's been hot here. I enjoy the weather much more when
it's a little colder. I can surely live with the high winds, the fog
doesn't bother me a bit and rainy days seem to always make me smile.

That's why living in San Francisco has always been perfect for me.
But when we get days like the last few we've had here...
long and very hot... it gets a little difficult for me to function.

Surprisingly, I did manage to finish a new painting.
Like I mentioned on my last post, I was working on
a couple of things, but those had to be put on hold for
a bit. My muse led me to create this one instead.

Hope you guys like her. I plan to list her on ebay
later on today. Starting at 99 cents. (sold, thanks!)

Also, I received more etsy love recently. Yay!

My witch painting was magically chosen for the"Blessed Be This Witchery" collection. Thanks again Myra!

And my angel painting was selected for this sweet "Harvest Chic"
collection. Thanks again FineAndFunkyJewelry!

Vanessa of A Fanciful Twist is hosting her annual
Halloween party again! I had such a spooktacular
time participating last year and will be joining in
the fun again. Come and sign up for the fun too!

To check out my party post from last year, click here.

Thanks so much for all the special comments from my
last post! I really appreciate your visits!

Blessings,
Lisa :)

Happy Fall

Hello lovely bloggers! I know it's been awhile, so I wanted to
share my creative update with you. I have been taken over by
my muse and let's face it, that's never a bad thing. Besides
everyday life, creating has been keeping me a busy bee.

In honor of Autumn's arrival, here is my "Harvest Angel". She's
holding a cute little pumpkin close to her heart to bless the sweet
event. You can find her now listed in my etsy shop here.

My Harvest Angel was also just added to a sweet Etsy treasury called "Rainy Angel.. Artisans all, Part Deux".  You can see the lovely collection here. Thanks again Deb!

I always have multiple paintings in progress when I create.
I just can't help it. My imagination just takes over.

This cutie angel was done on a 5" X 5" X 1.5" canvas
using mixed media including 3D paint.
(Sold, thanks!)

I love the way this one turned out. The words
"Believe in Yourself" was added using a rub-on transfer
directly onto her halo. You can also find her now in my etsy
shop here.

***

for passing on "The Versatile Blogger Award". Thanks again so much!

***

I didn't want to forget to share these three paintings as well.
Not blogging as often as I would like tends to pile up the
unshared creations. (All Sold, thanks!)

I attached a metal charm that says "Enjoy the Journey",
a little reminder for me is always good.

I attached a ribbon trim to the top of this piece.

And as you may notice, I am all over the place when it comes
to painting my girlies. I enjoy painting different faces along
with different styles all the time. It keeps the creative juices
flowing.

The crackle on this one is very rich with touchable texture.
You can find her now on ebay here. (sold, thanks!)

And the final painting I wanted to share is my "Dream" Angel.
I love the texture on this one. The bluish tones really pop in person,
especially her hair.

You can also now find her on ebay here. (sold, thanks!)

I wanted to thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I really appreciate your constant words of love, motivation and
encouragement. It warms my heart all over. Thank you!

At the moment, my muse continues to inspire away. I'm currently working on a couple of larger pieces among other things. Hopefully
I'll be able to share them faster than I did with all these above.

Creative Blessings and Happy Fall to you all!

Hugs,
Lisa :)

Update and Surprise!

Hello my lovely bloggers! I can't believe it's been so long since
I've posted. I just wanted to update you on my art as well as a
little surprise at the end of this post. I did manage to create a
few paintings that kept me busy while I was away.

As you already know, I love using mixed media in most of my art.
These two girlies turned out super cute. They were created on
stretched canvas. The painting on the left is a sweet angel that is
no longer available : ) ... of course as you can see at the top of my
blog, I couldn't resist in making her my new banner. I really enjoyed
creating both of these paintings. The angel was created using layers
of collage papers, acrylic paint and a crackle treatment for her wings.
She also has a tiny leather flower I added to her headband with a brad.

(SOLD, thanks!)

Both paintings were sanded and distressed for the prim appearance
I love. The portrait piece above has an added lace trim as well as
a handmade leather flower centered with a decorative nail. You
can find her now listed in my etsy shop here.

Before I share more of my art, I wanted to thank
sweet and talented Kiki aka Victoria Pettella of http://awakewithcharmandspirit.blogspot.com/
for including me amongst many special artists in her
post "Creative Spotlight: You Inspire me..". Kiki manages
a few magical blogs where she inspires me with her
words and creations all the time. You can find her lovely
feature here. Thank you again Kiki!

(SOLD, thanks!)

Here is another piece I created while I was away from blogland. A
cutie angel portrait. Her eyes are a bit larger than the ones I usually
do. I love the way she turned out.

This one is also full of touchable texture! You can find her now
on ebay here.

And the last piece I wanted to share with you today
is my newest witch painting. I think she turned out
spooktacular. Like the angel piece above,
this cutie witch was created on canvas board.

The witch painting is packed with mixed media including
vintage dictionary pages I used as the collage background
as well as to make handmade flowers with too. She is
embellished with metallic paint and adhesive bling.

And last but not least...

I wanted to THANK all my kindred spirits that commented on my last post!!! It really meant
alot. And for that reason alone, these
special commenters were added to a ...

Yes, that's right! My first surprise
giveaway! Each and every one of
you really made my day with your
special comments. There was
no way I could choose the
winner all by myself. The lucky
winner was chosen using a
random generator.

So with that said, who won?

Yay! Congrats Micki! You are the winner of my giveaway!
And to stick to the theme of this Surprise Giveaway,
you will get a lovely mystery prize from me. Just email me
with your address.

Thank you all so much! Each comment you leave means
more than you know. Well, hold that thought... at least you
know a little more about how much they mean to me now.
Heart your COMMENTS! :)

Thanks for your visit today!

I will make sure to have more SURPRISE GIVEAWAYS in the near future!

Blessings to you all!
Lisa :)
