The Muse
Inspiration can come from all over. You can get inspired from a total stranger, from an acquaintance, & from the ones you love. You can also get inspired from the many artists of today, as well as all the old masters. You can find inspiration from a dream, a book, the news, a movie, a poem, & even from a famous quote. The list can go on and on...
The many chances for getting an inspiring idea are there, sometimes you just need a little push to get things going. For me, music is a big inspiration. I enjoy listening to all types of music. You can find me listening to my ipod (singing like no one is listening :) and getting inspired while I create, especially when I paint. Today, music is my muse. Let your muse inspire you.
This is a mixed media painting that I will be listing on ebay later today.
8" X 10" on stretched canvas
I've hand-stitched directly onto the canvas using embroidery thread and painted fabric.
Created using oil pastels, rub-on transfers, acrylic, & metallic paints.
Full of touchable texture.
Sanded & distressed for a prim appearance.
I hope you find your muse today.
Creative Blessings,
Lisa

I am also inspired by music and have been hooked on a 10 cd set called flower power and can't get enough of it, lots of inspired songs from the 60's/70's. NICE post, thanks for sharing! Lisa C.

She's so beautiful!! All of the ladies you draw are exquisite. They have a yearning look in their faces. When you are drawing and creating their faces I wonder what their expressions mean to you and what they are feeling. Love your works of art!!

ReplyDeleteShe is absolutely beautiful. Magical. I love how you painted her hair. I'm really wanting to start using colour in my work but my tiny venture that way wasn't what I'd hoped. When I look at your work though I really, really want to try again...lol.
