The Muse

Inspiration can come from all over. You can get inspired from a total stranger, from an acquaintance, & from the ones you love. You can also get inspired from the many artists of today, as well as all the old masters. You can find inspiration from a dream, a book, the news, a movie, a poem, & even from a famous quote. The list can go on and on...

The many chances for getting an inspiring idea are there, sometimes you just need a little push to get things going. For me, music is a big inspiration. I enjoy listening to all types of music. You can find me listening to my ipod (singing like no one is listening :) and getting inspired while I create, especially when I paint. Today, music is my muse. Let your muse inspire you.

This is a mixed media painting that I will be listing on ebay later today.

8" X 10" on stretched canvas

I've hand-stitched directly onto the canvas using embroidery thread and painted fabric.

Created using oil pastels, rub-on transfers, acrylic, & metallic paints.

Full of touchable texture.

Sanded & distressed for a prim appearance.

I hope you find your muse today.

Creative Blessings,
Lisa

It's Time to Live

Time really does make a difference. It helps to
heal all emotional wounds from the past.
It pushes you to grow stronger as a person. It
softens the pain of losing someone you love.
It changes the way you see the world all around you.
Time keeps going, it never stops,
it keeps on ticking and it exists,
just like the love and passion in your heart.
Don't let time pass you by.

A little inspiration...

Mixed Media Painting

12" X 12" on stretched canvas

Created using oil pastels, watercolor pencils,

monogrammed corrugated letters,

acrylic, & metallic paints.

With a touch of glow in the dark paint surprise!

Time passes, whether you want it to or not,
but your dreams don't have to pass you by. Make it happen.

Thank you Hege-Annie of http://hegeas.blogspot.com/ for passing the "Makes my Heart Smile" Award.

Thank you Sara of http://worksofartbysara.blogspot.com/ for passing the "Kreativ Blogger" Award.

Also more love:
Thank you Bairbre Aine of http://bairbreaine.blogspot.com/ for thinking of me for the "Pay it Forward" Love.

Thank you Shiva of http://friendsinglove.blogspot.com/ for thinking of me for the handwriting tag.

Please check out all their lovely blogs!

Below are a couple of pages from my art journal this year.

I really enjoy expressing myself this way. Putting down thoughts and creating... just because. It took awhile for me to really begin an actual art journal besides just sketching. If you've been meaning to create one for yourself or just haven't done a page in a long time,

my clock fairy says "The time is NOW."

Creative Blessings,
Lisa :)

Thank you Shariyah!

This is the art block print I won from fabulous artist Shariyah of http://shariyahgarner.blogspot.com/ for the One World One Heart Giveaway. She even let me choose any art block print I wanted. It was a difficult decision. I chose this beautiful piece. I just had to have her. She is called "The Gardener".

Thank you so much Shariyah! It's an honor to own a piece of your art. I will treasure it always.

You gotta check out her blog and art here.
