This is for all of us who love the story of Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery. I believe I was 15 years old when I was first introduced to the world of Anne Shirley and her dearest friend Diana Barry. I painted my version of their first encounter on 4" X 4" textured canvas using pastels & acrylic paints.

ReplyDeleteYes, I NEED to be the first to comment about these Anne and Diana! I LOVE the books, the movies, everything. Makes me want to go and get a glass of raspberry cordial this very instant! I was younger than you when I discovered them on PBS and after reading the book, I was obsessed with collecting dollies for when I was married! lol Absolutely magnificent Lisa! Way to Go!
Did you know that after the television series, they made another movie? It didn't follow the book, so it wasn't a big hit, but it had the original characters. Megan Follows will always be Anne to me!
