Completely handstitched using an altered fabric print of my original painting.
Created with leaf buttons, mini rosettes, plastic, & glass beads. Structured with burlap on the front and back as well as decorated with red lace. She has been stuffed with polyfil and is finished off with a secured blanket stitch. She can stand on her own and also has a hanger attached to the back for another display option.

Thank you Julie-ann!
I received my breathtaking swap gift from sweet & talented artist Julie-ann of Heavenleigh Art. Two lovely angels painted to perfection on wood canvas along with a dreamy beeswax finish.
A little after our swap talk, I saw that she posted gorgeous photos of this painting on her blog here. I fell in love instantly. She didn't say anything to me about it being my swap or not. I just Ooohed and Aaahed and crossed my fingers. And now... it's here in my home. Two beautiful angels of inspiration. I'm SOOOO Happy! A lovely masterpiece that is now displayed in my living room & will be treasured always.
These are the two art dolls I exchanged for her two sweetly painted beauties.
Many thanks to you Julie-ann! I love it! You are truly a *S*P*E*C*T*A*C*U*L*A*R* artist!
Big Hugs,
Lisa :)

Little Tokens of Love
This is the Valentine's swap I created & sent out for my PWGL group.
A hand-stitched heart ornie entitled "Queen of Hearts".
This Valentine's swap was open to all crafters. We were asked to create any heart shaped, handcrafted, Valentine's item - and use any medium and any colors we liked- as long as the finished piece was small enough to fit into a 5X5 inch box.
My sweet swap buddy Katie surprised me with a lovely amount of goodies.
My treasure box was full of L. O. V. E.! So many thoughtful treats. I love it! She knitted me an adorable heart shaped pincushion I am already using.
Thanks again Katie! :)

Anything is possible. Possible to love. Possible to forgive. Possible to create. Possible to make all your dreams come true. All we need to do is think outside of the box and find that possibility.

One World One Heart Giveaway 2009
I am so happy to be able to participate in the One World One Heart Giveaway 2009! OWOH is hosted by Lisa Swifka, it is a world wide giveaway with a chance to meet and visit blogs from all over the world. Happy to hop on the Gypsy Caravan and I can't wait to meet more of you out there in blogland!
Here is a bit of what Lisa Swifka has to say:
The giveaway portion is like hosting an open house......as if we were all living in this gigantic neighborhood where once a year we visit homes to meet, reacquaint and get to know one another. At each home there are samplings of goodies that you have a chance to take home like a door prize. You leave your name and at some point each home chooses a winner or winners......and now you not only have met a new "neighbor" and you've seen where they live.....you have something that someone lovingly chose to give..... AND visa versa.
My giveaway is open to everyone with an active blog worldwide. To participate, just leave a comment on THIS POST ONLY with a link to your blog or email address. Polls close on February 11th 11:59 pm PST. The winner will be announced on February 12th.
My giveaway prize is an Original 8" X 10" painting on canvas board.
Created using oil pastels & acrylics. Textured, sanded, & distressed for a prim appearance.
Yes, you are!

Thanks for coming to visit & Good luck!
POLLS ARE NOW CLOSED! Any comments after Feb. 11th 11:59 pm PST will not be counted.
Embrace Life
I've been tagged! Fabulous artist Sonia of http://soniaclose.blogspot.com/ kindly thought of me for this fun & simple tag. All I had to do was upload the FOURTH photo from my FOURTH folder on my computer and tag FOUR others with the same love. Easy Peasy!
My FOURTH photo ended up being a crazy quilted art piece I did entitled "Embrace Life". Crazy quilting is a craft that became quite popular in the Victorian era, which also happens to be a favorite time period of mine.
So the FOUR people I'd like to tag are:
Karen of http://hopeintheheartofdarkness.blogspot.com/
Jennifer of http://tamalecat2.blogspot.com/
Martha of http://marthalever.blogspot.com/
Lori of http://elviestudio.blogspot.com/
Thanks again for thinking of me Sonia!
Please check out all these lovely blogs!

Sweet Treat Monday
It's always a treat to see when a piece I create finds a new home. Sweet artist and owner Jenny Carter of Wonders of Whimsy surprised me with this Happy Monday treat! She posted a couple of photos on her blog here of the "Heart of Darkness" painting she bought from me. It's an honor to be in her collection and to also be displayed in her lovely home. Thanks for sharing Jenny!
Jenny is not only an art collector & fabulous blogger, she also creates one of a kind hand crafted dolls too. You gotta check out Wonders of Whimsy to see all the beautiful creations she offers. Her imagination is endless. I also happen to be a very proud owner of one of her dolls. Yay me!
